April Volunteering Hours: 26 Spring 2026 - Total Volunteering Hours: 92 This month I completed my last exam of the program. It was so relieving to complete and I am so excited to move forward with my academic career. I believe that this program gave me a good peak into what medical school may be like, and I feel it will help me to prepare. This month I volunteered at the Lowernine Food Pantry, three shifts at 6 hours, and joined in a neighborhood cleanup last Tuesday, at 8 hours. At the food pantry, I help to pack boxes of food for guests and train new volunteers. For the neighborhood cleanup, I signed people in and lead a group collecting large trash, such as discarded furniture and tires, which had been dumped in the lower-ninth ward neighborhood. I am proud to say we filled a semi truck twice over.
